Mascots & Cartoon Characters on Rent

Guide

Mascot or costumed character - what is the difference?

Mascots are full-body costumes with a large character head - think Mickey Mouse, Chhota Bheem, Doraemon or a giant teddy bear. They are instantly recognisable and great for photos, especially with younger children. Costumed character performers dress as the character - for example Spider-Man, Elsa or Barbie - and suit parties where the character joins games, a sing-along or a hero entry.

Picking a character for the age group

• Toddlers and first birthdays: gentle characters such as Peppa Pig, Cocomelon JJ, the giant teddy bear or Mickey Mouse.
• Pre-school and early primary: Indian favourites like Chhota Bheem, Motu Patlu and Doraemon, or PAW Patrol.
• School-age superhero fans: Spider-Man, Batman, Iron Man or Krrish.
• Princess themes: Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel and other princess characters.
• Siblings with different favourites: the Spider-Man and Elsa combo covers a superhero and a princess together.

Planning the visit

The appearance works best when it is built around a few key moments rather than left open-ended. Most parents plan the arrival just before the cake cutting, when every guest is present, followed by photos and a short dance or game. The appearance time is confirmed in your quote, so share your party schedule when you book.

• Share the birthday child's name so the character can greet them personally.
• Keep a small room or private corner ready where the performer can get ready.
• In summer, plan the appearance indoors or in shade - full costumes get very warm.
• Ask a family member to manage the photo line so every child gets a turn.
• Let shy toddlers watch from a parent's lap first and come forward when they are ready.

Build the theme around the character

A character visit feels complete when the rest of the party matches. Pair it with a theme decoration or backdrop, themed return gifts and, for longer parties, games or a magic show.

Schools, societies and store events

Characters are also popular at school annual days, Children's Day celebrations, society festivals and store openings, where they welcome guests and pose for photos. For these events, share the expected crowd size and the timing so the appearance can be planned properly.
